NKJV Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
NIV Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting along well.
NLT Dear friend, I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.
In this letter, The Apostle John is not writing specifically about the human soul.
The word soul can be understood as the expression of a quality of life.
NLT uses the phrase, “Strong in spirit.”

To grant a prosperous and expeditious journey, to lead by a direct and easier way
To grant a successful issue, to cause to prosper
