1 John 4:4, You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. 5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.
Real World Application
Affirmative Action was not about elevating unqualified Black people over qualified White people.
It is about selecting from a pool of diverse qualified people.
It is about AFFIRMING the value of people, especially marginalized people and taking ACTION in support of them.
It is about creating opportunities
The concept of affirming others and taking positive actions on their behalf is scriptural:
"Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared..." (Nehemiah 8:10)
Scriptures related to affirming others and taking action
Mark 12:31, Love your neighbor as yourself.
Galatians 6:2, Carry each other’s burdens and so you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Proverbs 3:27, Don't withhold good from someone who deserves it, when it is in your power to do so
Philippians 2:4, Instead of each person watching out for their own good, watch out for what is better for others.
Luke 3:10-11, The crowds asked him, 'What then should we do?' He answered, 'Whoever has two shirts must share with the one who has none, and whoever has food must do the same.’
1 John 3:17, But if someone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but refuses to help — how can the love of God dwell in a person like that?
Acts 20:35, In everything I have shown you that, by working hard, we must help the weak. In this way we remember the Lord Jesus' words: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
So in this environment we must remind ourselves that the GREATER ONE lives within us.
We trust God and we also look for Him to work in our circumstances, rearrange circumstances, remove ungodly people, and bring whatever is needed to make a difference.
This is what is meant by the word “RELEASE.”

Exodus 35:30 And Moses said to the children of Israel, “See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; 31 and He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship, 32 to design artistic works, to work in gold and silver and bronze, 33 in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of artistic workmanship. 34 And He has put in his heart the ability to teach, in him and Aholiab the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan. 35 He has filled them with skill to do all manner of work of the engraver and the designer and the tapestry maker, in blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine linen, and of the weaver—those who do every work and those who design artistic works. What is Invocation? For Christ followers, invocation is also important as it recognizes the hand of God on your commencement. We think of invocation as only the prayer offered during the ceremony. It is better to think of the entire ceremony as an invocation, since we look to God for blessing and guidanceNew Beginning & Commence1. Stand in your space. Earn and demand respect1 Timothy 4:12 “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”2. Commit Yourself to GodProverbs 16:3 “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”3. Trust the Lord more than your own understanding. Honor the LordProverbs 3:5-10 “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine.”4. Work for God, not only for peopleColossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.”5. You were built for purposeEphesians 2:10 “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
