1 Corinthians 9:24 (New King James Version)
24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. 25 And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown
(New Living Translation)
24 Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! 25 All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize.

Jeremiah 29:1-15 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD , "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (NIV)
3 John 2, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.
Prosperity God's way begins with a Promise and a purpose. The promise in Jeremiah’s prophecy is God plan to prosper his people after a long season of captivity. The promise in John’s opening statement in his letter to the churches is a prayer for prosperity in health and all of life.
The purpose in Jeremiah’s prophecy is calling on God people to seek the Lord with their whole hearts. The purpose in John’s letter is prosperity of the soul, or inner life and character.
Prosperity God’s way is always rooted in His promises and purposes. When people do not know God’s promise and are unaware of His purposes, they make poor choices and lose sight of Christ in day to day living.
Cultivating a new attitude begins in the heart, but is made real in the soul. Your soul is your mind, will and emotions. Your soul represents what you think, what you do, and how you feel. Thinking, doing and feeling dominates our lives, so we had better seek to align our mind, will and emotions with the Lord. Again, seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all the these things will be added to you.

"Find the Hammer:" Using the Power of Focus
Phil 3:12 NIV (1)Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but (2)I press on to (3)take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. 13 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But (4)one thing I do: (5)Forgetting what is behind and (6)straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to (7)win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. 15All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. 16 Only (8)let us live up to what we have already attained. 17 (9)Join with others in (10)following my example, brothers, and take note of those who (11)live according to the pattern we gave you.
In this text, Paul is sharing with the Philippian church, and all of us, his secret or philosophy of success. Paul endured a lot of suffering and challenges. He had experience many joyful highs, as well as many tragic lows. If every a man had a good excuse for complaining or quitting, it was Paul. Success is obedience to God and faithfulness to His purpose in your life.
In our text, Paul shares at least 11 faith and action items. These items formed the core of His focus. He uses verbs, action words, to convey his philosophy and strategy of success in God. These are not words to hear. These are words to live by.

What Time Is It? | 7 Reasons Why You Should Value Time

Seven Reasons Why You Should Value Time
1. Time is holy (Redeem it). It is the gift of God. God's uses time. Gen 8:22 “While the earth remains,Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”
2. Time is a covenant because we act together based on it. A covenant is a mutually binding association.
3. Time cannot be recovered because it only moves in one direction will not stop until Jesus returns.
4. Time (kairos) is the opportunity, occasion, season or set time of divine purpose.Time shows our attention to details. Luke 16:10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much." Time sets in motion the purposes of God in the earth: Luke 9:51, Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem. The devil looks for opportunities to work against us. Luke 4:13
Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.
5. Time needs a plan: Definition of Plan: "A method of doing something that is worked out usually in some detail before it is begun and that may be written down in some form." Jesus operated with plans and purpose. He was very sensitive to His Father’s direction. Mark 1:35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed. 36] And Simon and those who were with Him searched for Him. 37] When they found Him, they said to Him, "Everyone is looking for You." 38] But He said to them, "Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because for this purpose I have come forth." John 12:27 "Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? 'Father, save Me from this hour'? But for this purpose I came to this hour.
6. Time is the only way to seize an opportunity: 1 Peter 5:6, Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,
7. Time will run out. John 9:4, I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.
